I know that dreams usualy mean something and so i was just wondering what my last 2 dreams i had in past nights mean, maybe someone knows here and is into that kind of stuff.
=Lizard.=
I had a dream sitting with my relatives on a tree (wtf) and i could spot a light coloured green lizard that was about 1mtr long.
Hmmm this is twisted.
=Girl=
No i didnt turn into a girl lol.
Ok it started with me laying in a massage room recieving a river stone massage. And i realise theres a girl laying in the same room as me not far from my table recieving a same treatement.
It was nothing sexual at all, but for some reason i ran my hands on her back and quickly stopped as i found my gesture pretty weird. So i layd back down waiting for my massage.
And the girl tels me that i shouldnt stop as she just loved what i did on her back so i continued for a while.
Then it was a time shift and i was on a date with that girl noticing that her hair was streaked and looked beautiful, and her teeth, well that was weird as they were glowing white and were too perfect.
I felt a strong connection to her and as if it was like i wouldnt want to step away from her forever. She also had a kid that i wasnt really happy about as i dont think im ready for kids at my age but i felt it was just right at the time and something will be worth it after all.
Then it was blury as its a dream after all, and we walked in to a bar where at the back of the place i saw a guy sitting with a syringe and his arm ready to shoot up, i felt the need to leave but then proceded with that awsome girl and as i walked past the guy began raging and i got into a fight with him truying not to get close to his needle, but he somehow stabbed me with that syringe (spelling?)
and i really got angry took the guy outside of the bar and savagely killed him with lots of blood pouring out of him. (fuk its twisted)
Then my girl was worried that i may have some hiv from the syringe i was stabbed with, and then time shift came again with blury moment and the girl didnt want to see me untili got checked out and told me if they found something she would leave me for sure, questioning the true love in my head of course,,,, so i thought of course let her live on and don wory about me,,,,, dream ended.
I was freaked out by how much i remembered from that dream and in how much detail it was, i wrote it down as soon as i woke up so maybe thats why.
Im just curious to see what the meaning of this was if any at all thanx :) |

I stopped reading right after that. Dreams mean nothing, and that is not usually, that is always. Dreams are basically all your memories being flung around in the virtual defragmenting of the hard drive in your brain. Don't try to extract any deeper meaning out of them. |

| actually, no one quite knows yet what dreams are and what their purpose is |

That's not exactly true. Our grasp of cognitive science may be incomplete, but we do know that dreams are almost always related to memories of events that actually happened in the past. Also, with what we know about lucid dreaming, it's pretty unlikely to think that they could mean anything beyond what we want them to mean.
We don't know the exact mechanism for how dreams are produced, that's all - we do know what they're for.
Honestly, the dream in this thread was probably a little personal experience mixed in with a movie scene or something. |

Did I not just say that? It's like a biological defragmenting, random neurons firing in order to put all the "data" in your head into its rightful place. Dreams are your brain reacting to the neurons. |

yeah we need proof! We're all sick of reading fake BS on the internet cause it's 95% fake now days!
I require name of a book concerning the subject or some magazine references and I shall scrap it up at the the local library |

*sigh*
Jesus I didn't realize that this wasn't common knowledge, I'll see what I can find and I'll post it later...
But honestly, dream philosophy makes about as much sense as religious philosophy. There's no reason to search for a deeper meaning when there's no evidence that there is a deeper meaning to search for - Occam's razor, the simplest explanation is usually the correct one.
I'll try googling for it though, see what I can dig up... |
