| MONTREAL ROCKS....Toronto i dunno....never been partying there....but i can tell you this.....parties in europe are much more different then here....in term of music and in term of different vibe...id like to try it at guv....im sure its pretty cool actualy...but the fact that the dj is so far from the crowd is a thing id fix....to my opinion....fo the rest...ill have to try:D |

Here's my take...
The guvt is a great club, it caters to alot of taste and can please almost everyone...
... in other words, if you don't club that often then chances are you will have a great time at the guv.
but if you need your weekly fix of electronic music then montreal is the place to be, because our edm clubs are more geared toward the regulars than the part time clubber.
Also, once you hear the quality of the sound systems at Stereo, Gravity and Aria, there's no way you can go back to subpar sound systems a la guv or systemsoundbar ( I haven't been to the renovated one).
But you guys are catching up on the sound departement with Boa, which I still have to visit, hopefully this summer. |

| It's totaly normal that many dj's will like more Toronto over Montreal. Guvernment is a major club and I have seen crazy nights there. Trance is way more popular anyway in Tonronto than it is in Montreal. If you talk about techno, maybe it will be different. |

many many many times i was waiting in the lineup and i talked with TO peeps that made the long travel to montreal to come party here even if the dj was stopping by toronto
they told me the same thing over and over again
the vibe is better here the crowd is better....on and on |

I am from Kingston (I am in Ottawa for skool), so it is easy for me to party in both Montreal and Toronto. Last summer I was in both cities quite often. One weekend mtl, one weekend T.O.
My fav place to party is Kool Haus for sure. I hate the guv and I can't stand being in there for more then 2 minutes. It's too packed, too hot, and you can barely see the DJ ! My 2nd Fav is ARIA. I find the vibes between the two very different, I like ARIA's vibe better, but I like the setup of KH. Like ppl have said, mtl is more techno, and I hate techno, so this is why I like KH better. |

is really difficult not to like the koolhause...
its really good, looooots of space (maybe harder to fill up) and the sound is pretty good, maybe they overdo the bass a bit.
Koolhaus is the best room i've been to in TO for sure! |

Ferry has been on tour in North America for the past 5 weeks and when we asked him what his favourite place was to spin this tour he said Toronto. A couple of us were disappointed he didn't say Montreal, but he said that the thing about Montreal is that it's so damn late. He said he finds it hard to start spinning so late in the night. So some of you were probably right that he was tired.
He also mentioned that when he was wrapping up his set at Aria, the resident DJ (Marco G was it?) who was playing after him told him that he was supposed to play until 9 and not 7:30 or 8 or whatever (although he thought he played until about 8:30), and he had been under the impression that he was only on the decks until 7.
So I think there was a little bit of miscommunication there and I figured you guys would want to know what he said.

I think he was saying he liked Toronto just to be nice. I heard he likes Spundae LA the best! haha
If u think about it, why would he be @ Spundae EVERY New Years? And.... why would he pick Spundae LA to make his cd/dvd? |
