Melbourne re-unites in one huge dance party as MAGNITUDE presents MAXIMUS.
Philosophy
Magnitude believes the dance party fraternity is in slight disarray with so many events taking place on the same dates, so MAXIMUS has been created as a significant force for the whole community.
MAXIMUS is a celebration that is non-discrimatory and includes Men & Women, Straight & Gay acknowledging community and culture.
Mission
To create a world-class event that attracts and unites people from all over the world. A gesture of solidarity and unity.
Venue
With 3 levels and the largest dance floor in the southern hemisphere - QBH - is the place to be for MAXIMUS on Easter Saturday night. Stylish plush surroundings, loads of seating, plenty of parking (at Crown) and for your sound and visual entertainment, a World class Production team, AVLE, Oracle Lasers, lighting by Campbell, and Psyklonic visual effects Magic will make this an event to remember for years to come.
Music
The DJ line up aims to bring together the strongest line-up Trance has to offer, and a wicked mixture of the Funkiest Grooviest and Progressive house.
Back by popular demand is DJ/Producer Matt Darey (UK), accompanied by the renowned trance vocalist Diva 'Marcella Woods', (Click on http://www.magnitudeproductions.com.au for a link to Matt's site featuring our favourite tracks sung by Marcella)
Also back by overwhelming demand is New Zealand's Trance Master DJ Sample G alongside Australia’s finest talents.
The Funky Groove Progressive House room features Melbourne's own Nathan G, Rob Gilbert, kdj, and our newest addition Chris Meehan.
Limited $55 (+BF. incl. GST) Early bird tickets on sale now until sold out. General admission $60 (+Bf incl. GST) until sold out.
More on the door.

You got jox made of steel?
...if not i would seriously advise against going to such an event. Although i have no problem and am comfortable in my sexuality, i wouldnt feel comfortable in that environment at all.
ps. Darey aint crash hot dj, just to let you know. |

| Its a gay's party, not my sort of thing. Got nothing to do with the venue, but the actual promoters are promoting a predominantly gay nite. |

I find it funny that some people will not go out to a night with a decent dj because it is promoted to gay community. I mean I have never felt uncomfortable in gay clubs/pubs or whatever even when I was offered money (serious amount) to go home with some guy.
Just a silly childish attitude. You say no the piss off from my experience. I feel more uncomfortable in clubs that have heaps of drug use going on... |

| it is rather strange.. trance artist comes out plays at a gay party or whatever & it's like they never came out here... yet we hear all the complaints about muzzas & muppet backpacks & cheesy hard dj's at big events. |

... For a substandard dj, i aint gonna put up with the shennanigans that gay parties have. Simple as fkn that. Its a fkn choice, i didnt say dont go, solstice just needed to know the full facts behind the event. If darey was my idol id prolly put up with it, but hes not. |

dude it's all a matter of personal preference, you may call it "childish" but not everyone is expected to have such an open minded attitude as you have displayed. i have nothing against gay people but i do feel uncomfortable when i'm in such an environment, i try to go out to have fun not to do my head in with my own stupid insecurities... and i aint gay. not that there's anything wrong with it. |
