I hate taxes.

I get 47% of my income taken in federal and provincial income taxes.

This leaves me with $0.53 of every dollar that I make.

Then I get 15% of my after tax dollars taken by PST + GST.

This leaves me with $0.45 of every dollar that I make.

---

Effective tax rate: 55%.

Pretty sick if you ask me.

---

I haven't gotten anything back in years. I usually owe money (capital gains and income [dividends] that don't have taxes deducted at source).
