Hey guys,

I'm not from Montreal, so I'm not very familiar with local DJs. But I have a chance to go see Mutek and Elektra. What do you know about these two DJs? Are they worth seeing? What kind of music exactly do they play?
ahlamalek
oh...

you are confused.

These are electronic music festivals which host many artists such as djs, live PAs and visual jockeys.

But still, are they worth seeing? And what kind of music exactly?

i think this year it will be amazing, i heard that richie hawin a.k.a plastikman, will do a live p.a. wich he stop doing a long time ago. hopefully anthony rother will be there aswell like he did last year.

if you like completely ed up electronic music...you will love these festivals...Like Malek Said, no trance for sure and no ordinary progressive. You can expect Hawtin like techno.

he only did dj set with final scratch to show the technology.

he has not done a live p.a. as plastikman in years.

9 years apparently...

I saw Richie @ Mutek last year.. barely recognized him with his new do and contacts.. I thought it was Matthew Dear or something.. anyway, Mutek is pretty much a minimal techno fest.. not my everyday cup of tea, but it's def. worth checking out. I went on the plus8 night and saw Magda as well. nice mix of people who attend also. :)

-then I went to Aria to dance. :tongue3

The MUTEK_INTERSECTION panel series will return with a strong program, thus developing further MUTEK's relevancy in relation to the practice and business of electronic music.

MUTEK 2004 will undoubtly be placed under the mode of rejoicing and festivities, with an eye toward to the future...

For a fifth year, Ex-Centris renews its collaboration with MUTEK as the Presenting Sponsor.
