Pronunciation of "Wijk"?

I figure someone in here's gotta speak Dutch.
How does one pronounce "Wijk?"
Is it just like it's written, with a soft "j" sorta like "wishk?"
Is it a silent "j" like "Wik" or maybe "Week?"

| As far as my knowledge in dutch language goes, it's "vuh-eek", but the "eek" must be short. |

| The letter j is in many european languages pronounced like y in some english words, like say or sunday. So it would be something like viyk or viek. |
