To be honest, if this was your first movie, it was done pretty well. But this is not by any standards (of mine) a well done film.
Specific comments:
I didn't like the twin fires @ the 21-26 second mark or the swirly designs @ the ~50 second mark. Both looked REALLY fake. Also, unless length was a factor (in the assignment), it seemed that you cut different segments of video too quickly. ie: I saw someone dancing very well and one second later, you cut to something else.
Despite this, your video has instilled within me the urge to go to the ministry of sound!!! Looks like a wikkid time. Also, the opening (the part with the wave synched to the music) is pretty cool.

| The video it's self looks like a promo for a school video dance but if that's the direction you were going with then it's ok, but I would need more info on the assignment in order to make a better critic :D |

yeh this was my first movie i ever made so i still got a lot to learn. also, the length was a factor, only 1 min long, with 10 sec of black vid.
the fire things, now that i look at them, id have them more transparent or maybe just delete them. but i didnt know wat to put at that scene so it just wouldnt be the guy with the glowsticks. i thot about some sort of text, but couldnt come up with nething.
umm...the swirly things...i put those in so the vid could be a bit different. instead of having moving clips all the time, i put in some still photos with the beat. but i guess i could take out that whole part and replace it with a clip or two.
and i cut the segments short because of the time thing again. if i have more leeway in the restrictions, i would make it more
this is a project im doing for gr 11 communication technology. the teacher doesnt care wat were doing it on. the only requirment is that it has to be 1 min long with 5 secs of black vid on each side of the video. other than taht, u can do nething u want.
again, thx for the input, i really appreciate it |

I thought the video was pretty good.
The fire things have to go though.
Why not just have it black and have it flash stills of the laser for a few seconds when on the hard sylables when the guy says "we have to get our kicks" (or something like that).
Sort of like teasing you with whats to come.
Other than that - good tune choices, and party on! |

Not bad...
The twin fire thing has to go fo sho :p
Try to make the partying scenes a lil longer if u can
and maybe keep only one or two tunes for the video...
Maybe start with a lil buildup in the beginning (while the intro is going on), get the timeming right when the song "explodes" and thats whe u cut to the rave scene... and keep that song going, maybe change it to a diff one later (with basic mixing maybe?) just my thoughts :toothless |
