Agreed, stupid replies about selling out etc. are totally uncalled for. Releasing a song is selling out? Pff how dumb can you be? The man's job is producing and spinning music ffs :whip: ...
Anyway, Mark Norman has more energy and therefore is my favourite out of these 2 tunes. |
Well, what you said might seem reasonable until you factor in that you juxtaposed two different abstraction levels. On the level you chose to express he could release quite literally anything and be "doing his job." However, this not only discounts the quality of the release (in this case: utter gash), but also the factors that influenced its production. Tiesto may have decided it was time to transfer his seemingly ever growing popularity into capital by releasing records with heavy pop appeal. Regardless of whether his intentions are that shallow (no real way to find out either) it certainly comes off that way. Since it sounds like boy band vocals dubbed over a 'remix' of traffic I would agree with the assertion that Tiesto "sold out" this time.

Calm down.
As for the tunes, I prefer these to Traffic, and I like Mark Norman's Remix slightly more, simply because of the slightly harder edge to it.

very nice vocals...i love the effects used on bt's voice...other than that the track sounds kinda empty. Mark Norman's remix doesnt really change things just adds a nice breakdown...still sounds like its missing something
by the way the track sounds a lot like Filterheadz Present Orange 3 - In Your Eyes (Blue Mix) |

as usual Mark Norman shows his ability to remix tunes into quality...and this is no exception
i definitely prefer the Mark Norman remix over the Original anytime...and yeah it is more bassy and more energetic
and what's up with the flaming? this is a thread dedicated to discussion of a track that was recently released, not about anything else...geez... |

You know how it is sigmanova.. majority of the forum has nothing to do with negative comments. Doesn't surprise me at all.
As for the this track, I'm really loving it. Don't really care if tiesto "sold out" or not. It doesn't change the fact that it's still good. Or whatever you think about the track. |

I dont think you can blame tiesto for the vocals.. BT made both the lyrics and performed.. and producers reusing the same synths/effects is not a new thing.. everyone does that, and the melody from traffic is not used again this time so i dont think it sounds like a remix of it |

I'm going to have to disagree with 'selling out'. Previous releases ended high in the poppy Top 40 lists. I believe Traffic even reached the # 1 spot. Tracks like Flight 643, Suburban Train and Traffic never were intended to be purely released in the Top 40. Yet they were released, months after the vinyl release. But to state that Love Comes Again with it's poppy appeal is intended to generate as much money as possible (selling out) is a bit ridiculous. But we'll see in a few months how his new single will do in all the various charts :) |

| don't like it! the vocals suck IMO and the production is bland! too bad really as i've loved most of tiësto's tracks, even the new ones, but this is not that good. the mark norman remix ain't that much better as it's too similar to the original IMO, but it is better than the original at least, but it's still not good! a shame really! i hope the next single/the rest of the tunes on the album will be MUCH better than this!:whip: :whip: :whip: |

Anyone who's heard his last two albums, hehe
I heard this the other night, don't know if it was originally
version but I thought it was totally s**t ... only my opinion
though and each to their own I say, sure it'll be massive tho. |
