Of all the stupid...
I hate this type of dishonest reporting.
Let's take a look at this "news report."
The headline is: "Oral sex shown to be linked to mouth cancer"
and they go on to write:
| quote: | | scientists have uncovered evidence that oral sex can cause mouth cancer. |
But then, in the very next sentence, they write the following:
| quote: | | Researchers had suspected that a sexually transmitted infection, human papillomavirus, that is linked to cervical cancer could also be associated with tumours in the mouth. |
Now it's time to deduce the obvious conclusion. Let's start off with a question. The question is: "What factor is the cause of the mouth cancer, is the oral sex or is it exposure to the human papillomavirus?"
Obviously, it is the exposure to the human papillomavirus, not the oral sex. So what they've shown is that oral sex with someone who is infected with the human papillomavirus can cause mouth cancer: not that oral sex can cause mouth cancer. Technically, what they're saying is true: oral sex can cause mouth cancer (well it's not the cause, but it allows you to be exposed to the cause).
But they might as well be saying "breathing can cause death" because if you breathe in the presence of toxic gasses, it can kill you. That's not science, that's being a god damn ing idiot. I hate these people and I hope they die. |

I'm discussing with a friend over ICQ and I wonder which one of us is right. I've tried to look it up on google, but everything I get is quite confusing that it seems that both (!) of us is right.
Feedback please. Can you get oral sex from going down on a girl? I fear for my friend's health :p |
Damn right you get AIDS from oral sex. Why do you think so many homos are infected. If any partner has AIDS, male or female, then you suck it up right in your mouth if you go down on them.
Suck on a condom or take your chances. Geez, these days you can never be sure that you won't get a gift that keeps on giving in the bad sense...

i talked to a dr. from colombia university about this issue..because i was involved in a scary situation several yrs ago. regarding oral sex on a woman.
he said that it is possible but it has the lowest risk as opposed to
1)regular sex
2)anal sex)
3)woman performin oral sex on a man
4)man performing oral sex on a woman has the lowest risk.....
Now this risk is possible and is raised if the woman has any cuts on her vagina area or is in her period
Or if u have open sores in your mouth or have bleeding gums.
other than that....the risk is very small since studies are underway regarding this more in depth.
IN an interesting study... two lesbian women have oral sex all the time...one has hiv and the other one is hiv negative.
Both have oral sex when they dont have increased opp. risk and Hivpositiv lesbian has not infected the negative one..
just a tidbit i would add to this conversation.. |

yes, acquired immune deficiency basically kills off white blood cells that combat infections so after a while with the disease a common cold could kill you.
lol at your last line. |
