This is a sad but beautiful movie. Stars Keisha Castle-Huges, Oscar nominee that was up against Charlize Theoron (Monster), Naomi Watts (21 Grams) and others.

nah it didn't, at least at the oscars. as far as i know it got best film at cannes in 2002 and best childrens film at the baftas, beat Harry Potter & Lord of the rings, that's pretty much an acheivement and a half especially for new zealand.(along with LOTR)

Really nice, but sad movie... interesting, too, although slow-moving. Not everyone's cup of tea but if you think you might be interested, it's definitely worth seeing.

Best childrens movie I've ever seen. Even though it is a childrens film, it's well for all ages to enjoy.
Very good movie, it's how all childrens movie's should be done.
