I'm putting up a vote to see which i should get with a wad of cash i'm gonna have from my tax return and school term ending, thus more work hours.
I'll be able to equally afford either of these 2 pieces... help me choose and vote!!
ALLEN&HEATH XONE 92 MIXER (FADER EDITION)
OR
ROLAND JP8080 ANALOG MODELING RACK SYNTH
NOTE:
I already have the VMX300, but it's slowly dying and I've wanted the Xone92 since it was press-released, and the same desire exists for teh JP8080 synth, but I don't yet have a synth.
I posted this in both the DJ Booth and Production sections to see what the DJs say, producers say, and what producer/DJ people say.
thanx all for your input! |

Im a bit confused, both good equipment but different uses :tongue2 You're comparing apples and oranges. |

personally, i would go for the jp8080
why? well, you say you have the VMX300 (it is dying) and no synths
But I guess it also depends on what uses are you going to use for the mixer... For example, if you do a bunch of DJing and producing and already have a good collection of powerful softsynths, then get the mixer...
But all in all, YOU have to make the decision.. not some random person on the internet |

At first I couldn't decide what to do, but now I got it - Buy the 8080, then make a track or two that gets signed. With the money from the label, buy the A&H Xone 92. |
