| I missed him last time he was here at HOB. I wasn't to fond of the 18 & older setup. I heard it was still a great time though...and definitely do not want to miss him this time around. Do we know what venue!? |

Do you ppl not read the post? Geez.......
It says "hopefully" - which means who knows if Chicago will be on Tiesto's tour. Just giving you peeps a heads-up that he MAY be coming to Chicago this June. :toocool: |

I saw Tiesto back in October '02 @ Vision during the Halloween weekend, and his set was phenomenal! He dropped some unforgettable vinyl that night: Capetown - Pitstop and (his very own) Suburban Train single. Definitly a memorable evening! The energy and the vibe of the crowd was stunning. But I'm really not that anxious hearing he MIGHT be coming to Chicago again. His style has completely changed. After hearing his recent live sets and current singles and remixes, I'm not as impressed as I was two years ago. I;'m not going to get into how his style has changed, because music and style change over time. But, I mean, I'm not saying he is terrible - he is still one of my favorites and all - but I'm not that thrilled to hear he is coming back. And I've followed his career going back six years ago, but I'm more-or-less looking forward to Deep Dish and James Holden now. Well, at least, if Tiesto comes back I am curious enough to hear his current style; maybe just peak in on him and give him a listen when he comes to Chicago. Maybe he has some tricks up his sleeve...

One of the best shows I've ever been to without a doubt. Hearing Green Martian - Wizardry live was all I wanted. Shame that his style and overall performance has changed (for the worse, IMO). |

No, no, no, James Holden was already @ Vision. Now THAT was an amazing set; he definitly has a unique style of trance and that's what, I think, people are looking for. That uniqueness of tune selection. But, I agree w/ UWM...it has changed, and I was disappointed. Tiesto seems to be playing for the masses now, instead of the music. I mean, Nyana may have been a compilation of good songs, but the arrangement was so off. Nyana's tune selection was decent, but the way he mixed each song could have been laid out a bit more to create that In Search of Sunrise-feel he USED to create before. Is it just me or has Tiesto lost that uniqueness that Holden has created? Could Tiesto be gaining the status of Oakenfold?

IMO - Holden is the next big thing to happen - just you wait. His set here at Vision was incredible and then I saw him down at WMC - another great set! And his Balance cd - keep an eye out for this guy to do some amazing things in the future.
And, I could care less about Tiesto. :o |
