I have briefly checked this pregram out, but what is this program for? what can it do?

I already use Cubase SX 2, Reason 2.5 and FL Studio..

It looks very nice, but also very difficult to use, is there any point for me to learn and use this program?

as far as Im aware its for muscians who play live using their Mac / PC. It does seem very complicated at first, although I'm sure its really easy once you have the hang of it - or it wouldn't be much use live!

I read Armin uses it, although Im not sure what for. If your productive without it, concentrate more on the music with what you know rather than wasting time on what you don't. I only try new products when Im stuck with the stuff I have.

Abletom Live is for live perfomance. You're able to import loops and play with it (stretch, effects etc.) real time. The loops are automatically stretched to the bpm you're playing. It's really easy to use. You can record every single action and change it later on if you didn't like a climax or something...
It has nothing to do with music production, althought the flexibility of the FX (VST supported) is awesome, so you might use it to add some fx to you're track afterwards. I'd say play with it some time...

yeah its good as i uses 2.0. it was able to change the BPM when I import the sample to track and set the TEMPO I wanted. But only problem is that I tried to change the tempo of the whole song. it don't work at all. Or is it not advisable to do that way as in one full song or just that it can read and change the BPM on short sample?

Live is currently one of my favorite tools in the studio. i cant work w/out it now. hahah

it's flexible and super easy to use. it just works the way the brain thinks! (mine anyways =P)

i use it alot for throwing ideas around to mix and match audio samples for the best combination.

time stretching with live's warp markers is a definate plus. u can edit your audio sample's envelopes and effects. it even has its own built in sequencer. it is re-wire and vst supported!

check it out for yourself and download the demo from www.ableton.com :tongue3
