Well ok here's the rundown..
the cam that i'm going to grab is the Canon EOS 300D -- The only difference between it and the 10D is the fact that the 300D has a plastic body and actualy has some features turned off (through software). That being said, the 300D and 10D use the same CCD chip and internal optics.

HOWEVER, I actually went to today and took a look at the camera just to see how it feels, and weight and so on. The weight is up there, its pretty large with the standard 18-55MM lens. It IS big and bulky, to be honest the main reason why i'm getting this cam is the quality, i'm not intending to use it too much inside clubs though. It will be cumberson I gaurantee it, unless your just there to take pictures inside the club.
If you want a (very good) camera that isnt as large, that you can take still good shots inside clubs with, go with the Canon G5 it might be more up to speed. |

i haven't touched the D70 yet... (wish I could)...
so basically the info i am getting is from dpreview.com preview of that camera...
its basically a better version of a D100 (a 2000+ camera).
Also, Beh, keep in mind that if you're getting the 300D, you should get yourself accustomed to cleaning that CCD that can become dirty when that lense is taken off. So you should read about how to clean it first before getting it :)
Beh, if you're not in a rush, I would wait a couple of month. that 1400$ price tag is coming down fast. A futureshop salesperson even told me it would touch the 999$ tag in less than 5-6 months :eek: :eek: |

Oh I wouldnt be adverse to cleaning it heh, regular maintenance comes with all things. Thanks for the headsup though..
Hrmmmmmmmmmmm i'm in no rush atm really, I'm willing to wait to see the price drop. I'd be shocked to see it around the $999 price tag though, the G5 is $899 right now that would mean it would drop to 4-599?? That's insane!! |

my sony f717 cost 1500:( in june last year, now selling for 900$ (500$ US if you cross the border)...
so its not that surprising. |

I own the Canon G5, it is a pretty good camera for the price i bought it at. Just wish i had the extra money to buy the Rebel :(
