Hey guys, my friend has to get a short Techno related survey done by I dunno how many Techno enthusiasts.....since she's not either in the scene or knows anyone else who could help her out with that project, I offered to get answers for her....so here it is...please answer seriously, even though you might find some of these questions retarded...
Now, if you don't want your answers to be read by others on this board, just send me your answers to [email protected] it's only 6 questions but it's highly appreciated
Peace.
Short Techno Survey
1. What's the first image that comes to mind when you think of Techno?
2. What colours do you associate most with this music?
3. Who doyou think is Techno's main crowd?
4. Is Techno associated with an era, a country, a culture? If yes, which?
5. Does it contain a message or communicate in any way?
6. Is it limited to a certain age group. etnic group or gender?
Please take in consideration that it is techno as in what preach/yaz/misstress/carolla/bayer/mateo spin

1. What's the first image that comes to mind when you think of Techno?
People going ape at a techno party. Lots of raw energy, even aggression.
2. What colours do you associate most with this music?
black
3. Who doyou think is Techno's main crowd?
everyone who seeks something different, something dark, something outside of the norm and the popular. People who aren't afraid to try something new, to go somewhere different and open their minds.
4. Is Techno associated with an era, a country, a culture? If yes, which?
Detroit only in as much as that's where it started and that's really the hub of techno today.
5. Does it contain a message or communicate in any way?
Be yourself. Be different. Open your mind to the music and the scene...allow yourself to go crazy on the dancefloor, allow yourself to get minded with the music.
6. Is it limited to a certain age group. etnic group or gender?
To me, techno is associated with a group of people who like to be different from the mainstream....not an age group, not a gender (although mostly men...but the techno ladies are hardcore I've found! they looooooove it!). It is people who enjoy the darker side. (because I really do think techno is the darkest, most introspective genre out there. I also think it's the most versatile in what you can do with it or how you interpret it.) |
