Live DJ Set shoutcast stream ?

Is anybody willig to do something like this on a halfway regular basis ? I would be able to do a DJ set maybe every or every second weekend (depending on other bookings), so if anybody would be interested lemme know. Also, if there is somebody who could offer a relay server that would be nice so my net connection doesn't become the bottleneck in case the stream gets more than a few listeners. Also, I am wondering what bitrate would be the best to use since I'm not quite sure how many people have broadband access - I was thinking that 40 Kbit (maybe even 56 Kbit ?) would be the best tradeoff between bandwidth and quality. So lemme know if this would be worth my time.

Good idea!
You can use live365.com as a relay server. That way, up to 365 listeners can tune in. :D
I'd go for at least a 56 Kbps stream, otherwise it will sound like an old AM radio.. :-) |
