Well i still have hybrid records in my box.... along with older quivver stuff and they still sound fresh

Its always good to play a couple of classics in a set i think. They get the crowd going and people know the classic songs so they can get into your set abit more i think.

They are classics for a reason...they are top tracks so why leave then to rust away in the back of your box (so to speak).
dukes
i play things going 5 or more years back....

classics can be done in moderation but old tunes does not always mean known. the unknown ones can be blayed without any feer but play to many known old tunes (classics) and people might get a bit dodgy with you..
DJ Charlie
I always play classics in my sets.

and if i dont use one during the set.. i use it as a closing track

i love hearing "A" classic. like one in a 2 hour set. to get people moving... but more than 1 or 2 is like.. damn, poor ass dj, buy new records...
Briden
in a 2 hour set, i would say 4 or 5 is acceptable.

they gotta be good though!

if the track works with the rest of your set then why not drop it...

this is what i'm talking about...i usually tend to buy records that are a little obscure, but good. i've got a lot of older records that you've probably never heard of and that allows me the ability to play them whenever it fits without you knowing it...
