Time is all relative. The past for you may not be the past for someone else depending on certain circumstances. The future creates the past, because without the future there would be no past. Without the past, there would be no future. It's simply dualistic thinking. Generally speaking, time is a creation of man and language. |
Ahhh theres my previous thread fitted into the little line :( Why couldnt i just say that to get a point across :( lol |

light travels on 300k kilometers a second i remember..
it takes light 15 mins to reach the earth from the sun, so no it's not a fraction of a second that the light you see from the stars...stars are suns, but why are they smaller than our sun? thats because the sun is the closest star to earth.
why do you always see them? simple when a star gets born it keeps giving light, untill it dies..
i read somewhere that our sun is middle aged, and it has like 500k years left before it goes in nova mode :p\
when that happens earth will have a temp of -80/-100 good for snowboarding :D |

No, what I was saying about the fraction of a second thing, is that it takes a tiny fraction of a second for light reflected off of or generated by something like a computer monitor, or the keyboard to reach your retina, and then it takes a tiny fraction of a second for that to be processed by the brain to interpret what you're seeing.
Now, light takes 8 minutes to travel 1 AU(Astronomical Unit), as I was taught. Because of the deep space pic, showing galaxies from around the approximate time that the universe was born, was done with the light sent off from them that took BILLIONS of years to reach us, which rules out the Bible's teachings that the universe is only 6,000 years old. |

i guess u could also say darkness is always there with light on it most of the time, so it never really goes away, hance darkness has no speed |
