Using external midi controller to pitch bend vst plugins in Fruity Loops?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help with with this problem I'm having. I'm trying to use a midiman 61-key midi keyboard to control VST plugins in Fruity Loops 3. Whenever I try to use the pitch bend wheel to control a plugin through the fruity wrapper, the midi light blinks, but it doesn't change the pitch. I can re-assign the wheel to any available controls, but none of the plugins list a pitch bend wheel control. The thing is, when I run those same VST instruments as stand-alone applications, the pitch bend wheel has the desired effect. So the plugins obviously are able to recognize pitch bends, and fruity loops can recognize the midi signal coming from the wheel, so how do I get it to actually bend the note?? The plugins I'm trying to use specifically are the NI Pro-52 or Absynth. Any help is much appreciated!
