So what did you think of Sandra Colins?
I had a good time.
Except for the part where I had to work from 2:30 - 11:00 pm that night. Drive down to Toronto (30 min) than, run around Toronto for an hour like an idiot looking for "TURBO".
Her set was alright. She played from 1:20 - 3:40.
First 20 min was all progressive (I guess that's cool for a warm up), than the next hour was the best part of the set. Than she looked a bit tired a ed up. When she put on "Tiesto - Flight 643" I stood right up at the front, walked over and shook her hand. She played some good stuff, I was somewhat impressed, somewhere in the middle I kind of got bored, (sandra was up and down every time i thought her track selection was going somewhere it drop off again back to housey beats) in the last 20 min she put on some banging stuff and got me back on the dancefloor.
The DJ to impress me the most was "Deko-Ze" I have never seen him spin before. He droped some nice stuff and got me really moving, actually when I think about it, it was probably the best part of the night. When Deko-Ze started the set with "Chemical Bros. - Africa/Battle Weapon #5" I went mental. I stayed for about 30 min of his set, he got me really tired so I had to leave and I had to get up at 9 am today, so far I have only got about 3 and a half hours of sleep. After getting home at around 5 in the morning.
So what did u guys think about the night? Did anybody go at all??? |

| I had a great time at Turbo on Friday night. I've never been to Turbo before so it was my first time. The lineup was quite large but it was real quick, I think I waited no more than 15 minutes, if that. Was hanging around upstairs, Sandra Collins was ok, nothing spectacular, I kept heading downstairs all night, it was packed downstairs and the choons were pumpin!. Guess it was a little new, I never hit up the Jungle rooms anywhere so it was different. My disappointment was my friends wanting to leave and walking up from downstairs, I hear Mauro Picotto - Baguette. I quickly run upstairs and there's this guy behind the tables cranking it out hard (at a club, that's the way I like it). I stayed for maybe another 15 minutes, but that was it. I've never heard Deko-Ze spin before but I'll make an effort to get out and see him again, he was good!! |

De-Koze is a very good dj. If u like build ups you like dekoze. Had the chance to meet him 3 times, and he is great guy. Just goes out on the dance floor after his sets and starts dancing (well atleast a couple times when i met him)
....and oh yes Sandra Collins??? I couldnt see her because of a hockey tournament, but he buddy RR told me that she did keep changing the tempo, progressive then banging and back and forth.
Was she wacked out on anything??? |
