Is it just me, or are you guys surprised when you hear someone like Tiesto is getting married. Or Ferry is married to a Japanese girl. I think PvD is married... I heard Picotto is slowing down DJing to concentrate on his family
I dont know, for me it just doesnt fit the DJ persona. When I think international DJ, I think a young guy in his 20s, travelling the world, making people dance, banging groupies, etc...
Im I alone on this? :o |

Most of these guys have been DJing for quite some time now...it's only been since around 1998 since they've become popular. Tiesto has been involved in the scene since the mid 80s. Alot of the big names that we're all used to are getting older and starting to settle down.
All this does is open up opportunities for new talent such as Holden, Zabiela, etc. So to answer your question, no I'm not really surprised that many DJs are married.
Sven Vath, he'll be 40 years old this year. Frankie Knuckles, born in 1955, will be 49 this year. Shall I continue or has your perception of an EDM DJ been changed yet? |

I think they want to impregnate their wives and make little djs to carry on their legacy.
You know though, partying get pretty old after awhile and i imagine these guys sitting around and drinking tea and talking politics or some after the shows instead of partying all night. |

....djs are human being like us which means it's quite normal that they get married one day ....like most of the other people do and by the way most of the big djs are playing for a while and are not totally young aswell tiesto is in his 30's pvd too ...they are pobably more mature now and maybe feel a lil bit too old to be total party animals ....i dunno but i don't think it's such a big deal that they get married and got kids ....
in few yrs maybe it will be in the electronic scene tiestö or pvd junior who knows?:wtf: |

Most A list deejays are early to mid 30's on average and they want to have a family
Picotto is mid 30's
PvD is early 30's and married (I suspect NvD and PvD will have kids shortly)
Tiesto is mid 30's
list goes on, these guys are not getting any younger and they want families for the most part
I will point out that divorce within the deejay ranks is very, very high
Danny Rampling Divorced
Carl Cox Divorced
Pete Tong Divorced
Nick Warren Divorced |
