No Trance Awards

I'm fairly new to the trance scene but as far as i'm aware trance dosent seem to win any awards. You never hear of it winning anything. why is this? Some of the best music i've EVER heard is trance yet no Britt awards or anything. Give trance some apreciation. i hate people that say it all sounds the same there just ignorant.
You can give your nominations here if you like and we will decide the awards for ourselves. |

we've got enough awards in dance music. i think they're way too many awards and they're all pointless since it's hard to be objective. ie. DJ Mag's Top 100, the Dancestar Awards, the Ibiza awards etc.
i think that good dance music is above any mainstream awards recognition. did mozart and beethoven need any awards when they were doing their thing? nope...oh wait maybe that's why they died poor. :haha: |

Half of the appeal of trance is it's status as a semi-underground genre (unlike hiphop and pop and to a certain extent rock.)

Biggest award a producer/DJ can get is the smile on peoples face or the feeling they get in their heart when they hear your track...

| An award is too materialistic and i think most dj's are not into that. they make edm cos they like edm. ok it is also about making money but it is not the major reason. |
