Cubase crash when closing windows

I run Cubase SX 2.01 and lately the program has the tendency to CRASH!! only when doing small operations such as closing and larging windows.. it also occures when nothing is played..
any idea what the fault may be, I know SX 2.01 has alot of bugs, but it hasn`t crashed so often as it does now

| u installed any new VSTi's? My cubase is erratic. My work around was to switch to another program :) |

I would never, ever abandon my belowed Cubase :o |

my theory is: if it stops you making music, look elsewhere.
Which I did, and I managed to finish my tune so I'm happier without it. |

Yeah, installing new plugins can often make Cubase go spastic. I had heaps of problems from the OhmForce plugins. Also make sure that CPU usage is not too high. I always relied on looking at the VST performance window but after comparing it to the Windows CPU usage thing in task menu, I realised it was heaps inacurate (about 30-40% off).
I've heard a lot of comments about the instability of SX 2. If it's a legit copy, then write to Steinberg, if it's not, well maybe go back to sx 1. |

| Uninstall your most recent plugins and try it again, and if that doesn't seem to work, then call Steinberg. |

| ^^ you might actually wanna try uninstalling EVERYTHING and then reinstalling everything again. lately, a lot of my friends have been having problems with the registry and that's how they've gone about fixing the problem. |

| I found the solution to my own problem, I reduced the color resolution from 32 to 16 BIT :D |
