| ok so when it comes down to basslines I've got a slight problem...when would you recamend changing notes at 16 beats or at 32?I'm not sure if this is easy to understand? |

some of the more catchy bass lines I have heard lately have changed earlier then stayed the same later like this over 32 beats:
8 'normal / base'
8 lower
8 slightly higher
8 'normal / base'
the pattern is subtley differant. maybe thats a example, im far too pissed to explain stuff :) |

| Actually, itīs up to your self when u "should change note". thereīs now rules when u make your music. :) thereīs now rule that says that u should change note after, say, 8 bassnotes. |

| I would do whatever sound good with your melody and doesn't get too boring. It's brilliant advice I know, but I think bass note changes would have more to do with the chords being played by the melody. |
