Can you be specific as to what type of music you're looking for. Be as specific as you can, preferrably with some examples, 'cause each store has better selection of one genre then then another genre.

| Amoeba has an insane amount of vinyls. You'd have to spend a whole day there to go through their selection. THe only drawback is that you have to rely on your knowledge to find the good songs. YOu can't preview any of the songs |

| Amoeba is my Mecca for music, CD and Vinyl. I have never found a place that even compares to it. I think I might move into one of their locations if I ever get back to Cali. |

i went to amoeba for the first time today actually.
i went looking to buy a CD, but they didn't have it so i went to their vinyl section.
got 12 vinyl for 100 bones (well a couple of them were vinyl packs)
found lots of oldies in there. i was very excited
it really sucks that you can't preview the songs tho. so you can't go in and do any real intense vinyl shopping and search out some gems that you've never heard of before. |

Then definately hit up Green Sector in Tarzana.
Domestics - $6.95 to $8.95each, Imports - $9.95 to $13.95each. Huge selection though.

Amoeba is not a place to go when looking for something, but rather to find something good.
If you love to just wander endlessly in music stores like I do, Amoeba is the place to go. I dare you to go there and not find something to buy.
