well i've seen that ahlamalek has made the work before me haha ....r post is very good !!well yeah when i've seen this new on tv my first reaction was to say to my parents "what...?????a french ??damn that's bad how can this guy dares to do this"?
but my parents explained me verges is not new ...that's a famous lawyer and he always defended the criminals's cases ....and mediatic trials of course
....but anyways ....it still annoys me that it's verges who gonna be his lawyer but well ...someone would have done it anyways !
but that's an another reason why i don't think i'll be lawyer ....haha judge seems better ....
no i don't sleep with ahlamalek ....btw ahlamalek do u speak some french since i've seen r living in montreal?damn i like this city ! |

| Ahlamalek is right. This guy doesn't want to represent Hussein because he believes Hussein is a good guy, he is just offering to do a job most people wouldn't have the balls to do. The fact that he's from France is just a coincidence. |

I agree with Ahlamalek and Arbiter on this one (OMG Malek and I agreeing on something once again?! :happy2: ); somone has to be on the ass end of the trial, and for someone who's well aquainted with dealing with such trials, it would only be natural for him to step up to work as the defensive lawyer.

In some aspects, it would assist his career, because he would be known as the man who did the impossible. Each statement can be proven contradictory regarding the situation, because a win in such a situation could be excellent, and could be horrible. In all honesty, I think he would be dead before the dawn of the next day if Saddam was released, so it wouldn't matter. :toothless |

good question
but its not matter of "getting him off" at this point. what matters is that he gets an impartial trial that is done correctly and by the book so it isn't turned over on appeal because of an overzealous prosecution. verges understands this probably more than anyone else.
the fact that he's french, i think, really has no bearing whatsoever.
