am i improving at all, compared to my other stuff?

I dont remember your other stuff.. but this is pretty bad.. work on the timing and the distortion that it has.. the chord progression isn't too bad.. you should try closing the gaps or something.. this would sound really dumb as is in a trance song..

There are a few people around that understood that it's the sound you want an opinion on.
And i like it, kinda. Good plucked attack with bottom end, but not to like the Faithless-sound. Dont know if that was what you're after.
Whats the synth, and notes (i've heard before ?)
dbl
not much to comment on.. and dunno if i have heard anything from you already.

don't really like it thou.. either it's just the melodie that got some strange note in it.. or it's a bad delay caus it sounds pretty bad at some points.

but work some more on it...

theres definately a bum note in there about 2 seconds in. I think it sounds wrong in parts as it abruptly changes from three notes to two and back again in weird places. kinda like the synth though!

when it comes to the melody or what you want to call it, I hope you don't call that a serious try on creating a melody :)

when it comes to the sound it's nothing inovative really, it's a good sound but I think we can all say we've heard it before (not that it's a bad thing that we have heard it before but anyway):)

ive updated the link, what you think? im just messin around with all these melodys anyway. but, what u think? ive took some of the distortion down and made a new melody.
alanzo
still distorted to hell.. the melody isn't too bad.. what are you using for these?
TechnoSpeeder
im using FruityLoops4

I guess that explains why the timing of the notes is off at a few points.. the piano roll in FL is hard to work with at times..

kewlness
it sounds like you played it on a MIDI keyboard...

go into the piano roll, and edit it so that it's in time... not too shabby considering it sounds like you used the 3xosc.. but still not the greatest
