Doesn't that imply that the person knows what the best one is? I doubt a single individual, especially with sadistic glee to kill those who don't agree with him, would have any grasp of some sort of objective 'trance truth'. He would surely have to provide some sort of proof that his agenda for shooting you was not based on his concept of 'the best' alone, but instead part of a greater, collective, timeless social whole.
