Hey Peoples!
I'm currently undertaking a unit this semester, "Writing Poetry". Our tutor has emphasised that we should write what we know ie if your into sport than write about sports etc. I thought about it and most that know me would definitely say 'E'. So here is my poem, tell me what you think.
‘E’
the size of a rounded pebble
out of Halmstad in Holland-
its texture presents many a colour
of pink, purple and blue
to escape the drag of reality
not realising the ill effects
which head and heart fear-
shattering in surrender
over lasers and lights
the dancefloor now filled,
beaded eyes and drugged lips
raising a volume of electronic song
to proclaim their brief freedom. |
