I just wanted the know the method u are all using in making your drumtrack...?

I rewire Reason to Cubase, imports the drums with the Redrum, and I arrange the drums in the Cubase piano roll..

Why make things complicated?

hey cheggy
That's an interesting way of doing it. I would have thought using a sampler would have been an easier and more controllable way of doing it if you are going to trigger via midi rather than use the 16 pads in redrum.

Personally, I make loops in redrum and export to wave, them bring them into my sequencer

I don`t find it complicated:nervous:

I load them in my sampler and sequence them in logic.
Sometimes I use some exs24's (soft sampler) too

I think he meant you can as well sequence them in reason.

then I must enter Reason everytime I am going to make a change or something, besides, the Piano roll in Cubase is way better then the one in Reason.

I use Electribe sequencer to triger sounds from a Motif synth.

do you not find that reason exported WAVs are usually lower volume than you expected?

No, I haven't noticed that. Volume is all relative anyway. If they are lower, then I just use the volume in the Cubase mixer to compensate.

I recommend you to use Battery. I used Reason and then rewired to Cubase but that method is annoying, specially with stereo drums.Try it and I'm sure you'll leave Redrum for Cubase.
