...and the first thing I wanna know is which radio station and where is it on the dial?

I'm coming from Adelaide so I'm hoping the shows are bigger up there - Adelaide seems to be skipped over a lot by some names.

This is a long shot but I might aswell ask: I'm looking for a place to live, hopefully close to town, share, internet, non-smoking. I'm a fairly quiet (mostly headphones), designer/CAD tech, just need a room. I've got a great smile too, see :D - love those (3) pearly whites, and green complexion :p.

Here's hoping Brisbane treats me good.

The only decent radio station is 102.1 4zzz

It has 'crucial cuts' from 8-10 on Sat nights, It playes prog/trance sometimes.

Apart from that the radio is quite poor :sadgreen:

Other than the almost non-existant trance scene, Brisbane is good choice for lifestyle. we have great weather, great beaches, HOT women :eyes:

as for big names we've had so far this year: Dumonde, Armin, Tiesto (again in may), Carl Cox, Misja Helsloot (in 2 weeks)and more....

People are less snobby here to! :p

Yes, I know, but I can listen to that in Adelaide aswell :), it's on the net.

Here we have Fresh FM on 92.2. It plays all electronica with some nights dedicated to trance. It's really good, and I was hoping for something similar in Brisbane. I'll check out 102.1 when I cross the border.

Wow! I haven`t heard anything about Misja and Tiesto is playing...

Where did you hear this?
When+where is Tiesto playing?
When+where is Misja playing?

I am situated in the heart of surfers and closest I get to my own music taste is Mybar and Disco playing funky house, but there are no progtrance+techno+trance clubs at all here (as far as I know???)

anyways, the chicks are good

as for you who are searching for a place to live,
Griffith has got an accomodation bulletin board somewhere on campus,
there should be plenty of offerings there (at least thats the situation on the gold coast campus)
