| ive made a melody, now, where do i go from there? i wanna start making a bassline, but where do i go with it to match the melody? im using FL4. i know, just do what feels right, but how do i do what feels right when it does not sound right? |

i just typed a whole spiel about drums :o reread what you typed, and you said bassline :D.
If it doesn't feel right yet, keep trying. Don't give up. Never, ever give up, unless the piece just really isn't going anywhere, then stop wasting time on it. If you love the melody, then keep at it, something will finally click one day and make you go "wow" or "yes" :)
You just have to keep plugging along until it "happens". Try adjusting the bass sound, or a different sound alltogether. Anything is possible. |
