dvd burner question

| yesterday I bought a dvd burner & it works perfectly, but for some reason all my codecs are messed up now. i can no longer view any xvid or divx movies, and dvds no longer read on my computer (even on my old dvd-rom). has anyone ever had this problem before, or heard of something similar? it's not even letting me re-install any of the codecs for some reason. |

| nope, just took out my old burner & replaced it with the dvd burner. |
