TranceAddict Forums Archive > Local Scene Info / Discussion / EDM Event Listings > USA > USA - New York EDM Production View this Thread in Original format LinX i've been fooling around with ACid Pro 4.0, its pretty cool and ive been mixing some tracks i have off cd's i like... i was wondering what kind of software and hardware was necessary for producing beats and minipulating them. i know about pro tools and all that but i was wondering what a "sampler" is and what kind of "effects processors" (if thats even the correct term) would be good to use along with the software.... sot check out the amatuer producer forums on this site for more info on production gear/software. i suggest you check out either fruity loops or reason. there both really good programs to start producing on. also perhaps get a midi controller such as a oxygen 8 which will make things alot easier for you.
