A mate and i were chatting over MSN today and we came up with the brilliant idea of feeding the soundout from our comps back into our mixers and having a back to back mashup with eachother. I live in Japan and he lives in Aus. Would it be possible or would there just be too much latency with the internet and distance situation?
we could even put our screens infront of our decks with our cameras on and watch eachother go nuts!
Imagine the possibilites we could have a tranceaddict mega battle!
if its not possible how long till you think technology catches up?

EDIT: sorry thought i was posting in the dj skills room or whatever... |

| It could be done but there would be some lag no doubt about that. |

| there would be lag but you would have to switch from what u are hearing to what he is sending after youve mixed, which will cut up the set anyway and make it pointless |

i proposed an idea way back dealing with the ideas of forum-specific applications which mixed the efficiency of Audiogalaxies method with ease of BitTorrent. It was initially for TA, but i got roadblocked with "NO FILE SHARING ALLOWED." i've never finished the program due to a lack of skills in netcode. a few PMs about it tho |
