Minor sound leak on DJM-500

Have any fellow DJM-500/600 owners here noticed any sort of sound leak from other channels when the other faders are all the way down? I've known about this for quite some time now, but was reminded of it just last night -- I recorded a mix and during the breakdown of one of the tracks (Summer Sun, specifically) I can hear myself looking for a cue point on the next record. It's very low but you can still tell its there -- in fact I can only hear the low-end/bass from it. But it's rather noticeable during a breakdown.

Anyone else noticed this?

I think your faders are bleeding man. I dunno how to fix it, but usually replacing it solves the problem.

brian, how long have u had your 500/600?

i havent notice anything on my 500 yet had it for about 2 yrs.

I've had it for 14 months now. The leak is very very minor, but still a leak nonetheless. I've actually developed a habit of turning down the bass on the monitored channels while the live channel is in breakdown to keep it from slipping into the recording. On the other hand, it would be nice if it weren't a problem at all, but... :)

I'm not sure if it's on specific channels or on all of them, and whether or not they're leaking while being monitored, or what...will check that out later today.

Whatever that sound leak is, it doesn't exist in the DJM 600

I haven't noticed it on my 500 but I've only had it 3 months... will look out for it and let ya know if it does happen.
Do you use the cross-fader? If not is the switch for it turned off?

I never use it tho, so it dont matter.

so what do u use instead of the cross fader?????

i put my other shifter thing down then move up the cross fader to the middle
then i move up the thing that tells how much sound can come through

is that how your talking about?
