Remember back in the summer of 02? You came twice in one month to the sleepy little hovel named Denver, which is coincidentally not sleepy, nor very hovelly. You played The Church, arguably the best nightclub venue in Denver, especially when it isnt jampacked with e-kids when Micro shows. Back then the DJ booth was just above floor level - which has now been 'remedied' perhaps in no short order to people like myself and my friends. I cant say it was the first time we saw you, but it very well may have been. Being that the floor was so close to you, when we werent dancing like crazy my friend Dave and I stepped around back of the booth. Imbibing spirits is an entertaining activity for the most part - but hopefully we (I mean I) was respectful. Dave has the track record of scaling a rickety ladder to interrupt one of Sander's famous cigarettes to request 'My Lexicon'. We got to shake your hand, and made sure you would be back within the month for Red Rocks. Transport had dropped and we were in for both shows, The Church and perhaps one of my most memorable EDM events ever - Rave on the Rocks in Morrison Colorado. Sure it had some hackeyed name because of the radio station hosting it, but who cares, there was a string of shows for 3 years, in which Oakie was likely headlining that were often class - in THE top venue perhaps in the US. But that show, in concert with the previous clubnight had me screaming "F-CKING MAX GRAHAM!" as your set ended and all those candykids were waiting for their pills and testicles to drop.

I do have to thank yourself and Swamper for posting your 2 part set from Tonic ever so long ago (2000/01?), as without it I may have never been in attendence. Cheers! |

| Those aren't necessarily the only winners though. Besides, I bet most of them just signed up because they can feel happy from just getting something free from a well-known DJ. |
