This event, held on April 3rd, runs the risk of being a kiddie rave (hypocrisy on my part, I'm only 17), but due to the lack of attendance at Junkie XL's appearance at the Quest, organizers were able to buy him for half his contract price. He will spin at New Dawn on April 3rd, along with 3 rooms of other DJ's. Presale tickets are sold out, but you can still get tickets at the preparty at the venue (TBA) on Friday. The preparty is 18+; stop on by and get your tickets!

new dawn was QUITE an event.. the whole night started off rather ed up as medics were tending to 2 ODed teens. i was gonna take a picture.. but.... i thought it was a better idea not to.
but, my god.. seeing junkie xl @ new dawn was MUCH better than seeing him in the ascot room @ the quest. plus later that night grayarea performed live as well.. both was ing amazing.. my god.. this is what i caught of junkie xl.

something like that .. i'm sure the artists are a little off. he played a good chunk of his radio jxl cd along with some other recent favorite of mine. i swear blue pill, red pill is one of the most powerful tracks when you'll ever hear live. crazyness.. how was he at sound bar down in chicago?

I didn't see the OD'ing teens, but I did hear about it. Unfortunate, but that's the risk of careless drug use.
Anyway yes, Junkie XL was incredible. I can't ID any of the other tunes he layed down, but he was definitely on fire and quite an entertainer. After checking out the Jungle and hardcore rooms for maybe an hour afterwards, we had to leave because my friend had to work in the morning and I had to give him a ride home. We went outside and we see Junkie XL in the flesh, talking to a couple of his friends :eyespop: :eyespop: I got to meet him, shake his hand, and talk to him a little bit about how great his set was. Definitely a fun night; too bad Minneapolis doesn't have too many other events that are as fun as this one was. |

| man, i had my radio jxl cd out in my car with a sharpie, i seriously should have brought that in for some signage.. oh well.. whenever he's around the neighborhood i'll definately be there ^_^ |
