Quite the opposite actually, X-9 is very well made and doesn't feel cheap at all. It is prolly one of the most sophisticated and best designed mixers I ever tested out and then used for the last 10mnths.
There is no such thing as a rip-off from another mixer, first off, yeah many mixers can look alike, but there is no copyrights nor patents on the way a mixer looks, features may be patented and copyrighted though. Secondly, X-9's layout is much better than pioneers, controls are smoother and it has tons more features than the djm600. Yeah X-9 takes a few times to get used to, but once you do, you won't be looking at another mixer for a long time. As a matter of fact, I had to sell my set up due to financial issues, now that I'm getting back on my feet, this coming thursday, I'll be testing out the new Xone 092 when they arrive at our shop, and I'll make my decision between that and X-9.as of right now, it is 90% that I'll be getting the X-9 again. Too great of a mixer with very nice features and at a great price.

Cheers...

I'm very interested in the Xone 92, let us know how it stacks up against the 62 and others. The price is a little to high right now I think.

hi guys,

was reading through. no one seem to mentioned about the BERINGHER DX626 3 Channel mixer?

i wanted to get the vmx300 as i heard good things about it. but i couldnt get it in time for my bday as there was no stock for it.

my complain about the dx626 is that sometimes i hear noises as i fade in the track with the channel faders.

as in the audio output wise ... i dont really like the quality. i hear echoes coming out of the speakers... not sure if it is because of the mixer or is it my room? im gonna try to get empty cardboxes as i heard it could help in reducing the echoes in the room.

No one mentioned the Berhinger because they suck. They are the K-Mart for mixers, but are decent for beginners or those on a tight budget. The problem you have is most likely the mixer, if you hear echoes coming *out* of the speakers, and not throughout the room.

Some nice mixers mentioned but definately worth noting that there are stacks of them not mentioned that are just as worthy and in some cases better.

Could you gimme a few models nem ? I'm on the lookout for good solid mixers.. that are not insanely priced. How is Dateq ??

As for the topic, I've only played on DJM500s and PCV275s, both great mixers though i feel the 275 has a more hardy feel to it, and of coz my DJX700 in the bedroom
:haha:

I'm also looking for recommendations on some good and VERY well priced mixers... No way in hell can I afford a grand canadian for a mixer right now. Which most of these top recommendations are far and above that price range =(

i got a surprise today and recieved the dateq xtc.....this thing really does sound awesome....i would go as far as to say better than the Allen Heath xone 62...which i also owned....the xtc has a crazy ass low end (@50hz) and sounds real crisp and clean......well thats the early report......i have play on it somemore now..:D :D

Hey DJ Trinity, I know that the EQs on the XTC are shelving and bell shaped, but i was wondering if the Xone 62's EQs were like this as well?
