writing for the local dance scene- any suggestions?

Hey there fellow TOTAs,
We`re all committed to supporting our local talent, and are fortunate to have access to such information through this wonderful message board and Tribe.
While doing a search on the web on some of the biggest local Djs I found it very odd that I couldn`t locate any features or articles on our talent- not even in Now or Eye magazine; just set and venue information.
I found one site, Worlddj.com that promotes the worldwide scene and has volunteer contributors. I decided this may be a good outlet to begin promoting the local scene.
I have since written and submitted an article on a very talented local, but am still waiting for it to be published- it`s taking forever! I also have another one on the go.
If anyone has suggestions where I could submit these locally I would greatly appreciate it. It`s about time the rest of the world can appreciate these enormously talented Torontonians as the rest of us have, don`t you agree?

I will have to think more about this, but in the meantime, search www.thestar.com for an article that was done on Sydney Blu on Saturday.
I think eye and now have run a LOT of articles on local DJs....
You may want to run a search on tribe for DJ specific articles that have been posted. |
