I am just wondering what you think about MC's at Parties or in General ? Sometimes I wish they were not there to disturb the Trance Flow but sometimes (very seldom) they turn the People or the listener higher and higher !!
My favourite MC Voice or appearance in a DJ Mix Set is in:

Armin van Buuren's Set at the "O" Club(NL) 18.03.00!!

Never heard a better and unique Voice that fits into a Set..does someone know his Name ? It sounds really like a Black MC's Voice...

Its true that the mc's wreck the flow of the music and they speak a load of crap. I know one dj that hardly shuts up. But hes not into trance as such but sometimes gives a runing comentary with his set. Its v annoying

The only sub-genre of "Electronica" that MC's should be mcing at would be HappyHardcore, I think that MCS are just as annoying as scatching, they all songs up very badly. If you wanna hear some good MCing Get any "DJ Spree & MC ADB" set...(WARNING: THESE GUYS DO HAPPYHARDCORE) so if you dont like happycore, don't dl any sets!

I hate Mc's. They just make easy money by bulltin' through a track that really doesn't need any low-quality comments.

Only once I heard a mc who really added something to a set. I don't remember his name, but it was on a Joost van Bellen Speedfreax set.

I don't know if this would be a correct example of what you guys are talking about, but I wholeheartedly agree about the singing/mc'ing in trance songs ing it up, but the one song that I think is really great w/the singing is BT - Never Gonna Come Back Down ... I just love the singing in that song.

I don't think we actually mean singing. A MC just talks through a song (mostly saying the same thing about 20 times after eachother) trying to get the crowd going.
If you need someone to get the crowd going,
you really need to think twice if you're DJ carreer shouldn't have ended before you even begun it. At least, that's my opnion.

Mc´s can be cool but they often suck ass. Like that bitch who was tryibg to everything up at Sensation by opening her big mouth during every set....

Mc's suck, all of em. I hate them all, they just talk crrap over the music and theyre allways talkin over the best parts too..

And how can you say happyhardcore needs MC's there's allready words in that music..
The only genre of music where MC's are occasionally descent, is Jungle.. But other then that, MC's should shut there trap and find a new job..

The only MCs I've heard were at parties that played Jungle or Hip Hop... I love jungle and drum n bass and MCs can either be wicked or annoying.. I think the best ones say creative stuff and know when not to talk when they shouldn't be cuz they can be a distraction at certain parts of a track.. My favourite MCs include Mc Fearless, Mc Skibadee and Mc GQ..

latez...

ps... I've never noticed anyone MC to Happy Hardcore!! To me that's odd but I never spend much time in that room anyhow..

Yes very very very rarely do I ever see a good MC, and the only good ones I've seen have been to happy hardcore. They usually suck a lotta ass though. They either start speaking during parts where there's actual decent singing in the song or they have diarhea of the mouth and just talk all the ing time.

Hehe I remember this one party where Dieselboy and MC Dub 2 were paired together ... at one point mc dub 2 got so annoying that dieselboy stopped his set and told the crowd that he was gonna take a short break in his set so we could all listen to mc dub 2 speak. God I hate them ...
