Wow, this really cracks me up. Honestly.
I started this thread with the intent to find new music and live sets and WAS NOT a DJ at the time. I didn't start spinning until two years ago, and from that time forward have purchased every single track (with the exception of promos sent to me by the artists themselves) - and would never think of doing it any other way. |

Regardless of the difficulty of the task (downloading illegally), do you not get my point?

And what im saying is this ... before the proliferation of digi-dl sites it was alot harder to buy dance music.
Using myself as an example ... b4 these websites came into existance I pretty much never bought singles. I would buy cd's from stores but I would never buy individual tracks (I didnt have turntables and still dont so why would I buy vinyl). Now that websites like kompaktmp3, djdl + beatport are around I spend more money on music than I ever have before. And i'm guessing (based on my own personal experience) that alot of people are the same in that sense. Know what I mean jellybean?

What cracks ME up, is you're justifying that just because you were not a dj "at the time" you had every right to download tracks for free.
Intent to find new music? C'mon man, what BS. There are other ways to find new music than asking people what the super duper new hot track is that you can download off soulseek.
Good on you for purchasing all your tracks now though. At least you're giving back right?
