Yankee lost in England -- HELP!

Hello UKTA's,
I'm going to be in London very shortly, I'm staying at a hotel on Great Russell street, i think it's called. Where are the closest, CD shops near there? i need to stock up before i leave the UK so that i dont have to buy stuff in America, which is suuuuuuper overpriced. thanks for your help!! |

| lol, you think stuff over there is overpriced! If you want to buy a cd (album) over here, i'd say average price is around £13?? (dont think i've actually ever bought an album, it's against my religon) .. so that's $24? .. welcome to England. |

I'm afraid CD prices in the UK are much higher that in the states. It's a well known fact over here that we get totally ripped off compared to you lucky bastards in America who get everything cheap!

Even more unlucky living in UK on $ since start of February (me :(). Back in Feb. it went over £1=$1.90. |

Your nearest largest ones are on the corner of tottenham court road and oxford street (virgin mega store) and down oxford street (HMV)
although cd's are pretty expensive here these two stores do have some pretty good offers on every now and again. |

go to give a look in notting hill-ladbroke grove- some interesting stuff+ nice place to see if it's Ur first time in l0nd0n
even in camden t0wn U can find some interesting stuff and sometimes it's second hand staff-if U're lucky without spending a lot u can come back with some go0d staff:D |
