I remember being forced to drink iodine spirit/solution when Chernobyl blew up and I was aprox 256 miles away from it .

I believe that the effects of a nuke spread out over a 100 mile radius.

I was too young to know anything back then, all I remember is that everybody was freaked out like hell by the news. I do think now that we were too far to be effected at all but you never know... Nuclear power is no joke, that is certain.

I just got this link of a freind and I must say this was one of the most interesting web-sites i've ever read thru..

This woman has done a tremendous job collecting the photos and info. It really does give an accurate insight into what life would be like after a nuclear war or something..

i remember that there was a thread on TA about that site www.kidofspeed.com and i have always thought that website was really interesting, but it wasnt entirely true as she wasnt allowed total free run.
