I Just recently upgraded my production setup. I've got a Mac G4, Protools 6.2.3 Mbox setup, and Reason software. I'll try to explain this as best I can. I'm trying to get it so that I start up Protools first, then I start up Reason so that it's in rewire mode. but then my MIDI keyboard (Radium 61) will not respond through Reason. How do it get it to work when in rewire mode? then how can I get the sound to send back through my Mbox for monitoring instead of the built in audio output, when in reason?

I hink (don't quote me on this) that by using rewire, that makes reason a slave, and you have to enable outputs through protools and asign them to whatever you want to in reason.
just intuition on my part, i'm new to pro-tools also, so . .. |

where is your controller plugged into for MIDI? When you engage everything, there may be control confusion between all the apps about which program is using the controller.... are you using a midi interface?

Both My MIDI Keyboard and my Mbox are pluged directly into the built in USB ports. I don't have anything thats plugged into any USB hubs, so i'm not sure where the confusion would be

did you assign a MIDI input in pro-tools to tell it what MIDI device to use?
