is it just me, or does the title seem a little racist??????
i think it is reverse racism. i mean white people can't do movies that they turn into black people and call it "Black Chicks". it might stur up too much stuff.
seems as though i give props to white people cause they can handle these things with ease while i'm sorry but i think most african americans are a little toooooooooooo emotional and easily offended when it is done upon them. to me it's not fair. |

first one to agree with me. seems as though if someone brings up this kind of subject everyone is too scared to be honest and thinking they might be labeled racist. there is nothing racist about posting stuff like this.
the last time i checked, i live in america and i have freedom of speech. |

| i'm picking up what your putting down.. it seems ok for everyone to joke about white people and being white, but when white people joke about any other ethnicity then we are automatically racist. However, when it boils down to my personal opinion i joke about all races the same, as long as it is light hearted without malicious intent, and only around people who would know it was a pisstake. |

The problem isn't with the movie - it's completely fine for them to do a take on "white chicks." The problem is with us and the way we let ourselves feel guilty about doing the same with blacks or other racial groups.
We're oversensitized to issues of race because of a fear of racism... everybody has to understand that stereotypes contain an element of truth and that we're not racist unless we genuinely believe in the superiority of one race. Whites are okay to joke about because they're the racial majority (in most places, anyway) - just don't tolerate anyone who says that it's not okay when the subject is a minority. |
