I find that McProg reference to be more of an insult then a compliment, Prog is Prog, It has many forms such as progressive trance, progressive house, and progressive breaks, So deal with it and stop using that term, Its rediculous. :) |
it has many forms, this being one of them. :stongue: |

I wouldn't say that those names u mention don't produce, i'd just say your not looking properly. Marcus shultz plays progressive trance anyway, calling him a prog DJ is like calling Lisa Lashes a trance DJ.
Don't get me wrong, what he does is VERY good, ur just trying to compare him to something completely different. If u go out and actually look into the true progressive style u'll find tracks or remixes by those artists. |

imo he's hardly a prog dj, but he definitely is the McProg god. |
Keep using that term and I swear I'll see it in some of the clubbing mags in the near future and think of you :)! |

I wouldn't say all music comes with Schulz remixes, particularly in comparison to Chable, it just depends on what style of music you're getting remixes *of*!
Schulz tends to remix uplifting, traditional Trance, Euro dance, and even standard pop songs and turn them into quality cuts.
Guys like Holden and Chable tend to either produce (moreso than Schulz) and also tend to stay 'within the genre' on their remixes.
Trust me, Chable in particular has put out a ton of material lately, to the point where it's hard to keep up with. It's just not material that is going to make anyone but a Proghead take notice. |

| Is McProg your way of saying "fake" prog. Like it isn't quite prog? |

| i have a lot of viyl from him and his remix....The point is he's soo good for remixes. James holden is my favorite but his own production is more soft, but his own remixes.......oh my ing good....And be prepared to see more works from luke fair.... |

| Is classifying a DJ's style so ing important? |
|
|
| Stanza |
Exactly, it aint important.
Markus Schulz is a very fine DJ and so is Holden and Chable.
But Holden and Chable have their own distinctive and recognisable sound.
I'm listening to His Cold Harbour CD right now. Very nice and smooth. |
