Heh...I feel concerned here:)
Well,I don't think the full lo-fi versions should be totaly forbidden.
That's clear,I'll never post the full version at 96kbps. But when I post my new tune here,I usually put 128 or 192 preview PLUS full lo-fi rip (40 or 56 but never 8kbps!). So people can enjoy the full track at least in low quality. But the hi-fi sample still always avalable. So I think it's better to have BOTH: a hi-fi sample + full lo-fi.

So... my position is: the full lo-fi tracks should be allowed only if a little hi-fi sample is posted aswell.

you are a prime example of what should happen on this forum :)

+ 8kpbs was an exaggeration :p
Fundamental
Sounds like a good idea. It's the reason I've been posting less in here recently.

While I understand it would be nice for people to have decent quality rips, please remember that not everyone had masses of space to up them to!

I normally put samples online @ 128kpbs, most peoples can listen cleary to it. Is that a problem? I think 128kpbs is quality enough.

i agree..

so long as the full track isnt available in good high quality then no label will give a .

there is no point what so ever in posting a lo quality sample, nobody can give decent feedback on mastering, production techniques etc, not to mention lo-fi often s up the mid + high ranges totally..

I feel the same way as him. I think that some people here still post samples at low quality of tracks they made that they are still sending out to labels etc.. and that they like. So they won't post it at high quality. And also this would mean we would only hear the rejected demos from these people.
