I am really glad I did not miss this event. Initially I had no plans to go (boyfriend & I were gonna spend the night in & we had opted to attend Roger Sanchez the night b4). Then when I heard people wanted a meet-up with Rank 1, I decided I'd organize it, but still not attend the club event (tho I made arrangements for guest list JUST in case). On no sleep at all, I still went out to dinner with friends, then we all waited at Fionn MacCool's, where it became evident that they were not going to make it in time, so we moved the meetup to the Acid Lounge at midnight.
10 minutes after being at the club, the boyfriend had to leave (amatuer! :p). We had a great turnout in the acid lounge (though our Ottawa contingency missed it, as they'd been spending time waiting in line to get into another room in the club they thought was the acid lounge). I was totally wrecked, & did not think I would last long on the dance floor, but the music was just incredible!!! By the end of Piet's set, I was going crazy out there. It was just what I needed- driving Dutch trance, chock full of Rank 1 goodies. I even enjoyed his set more this time. Judging by the playlist, I only missed the last 3 songs, and I only left cuz I was giving Ryan a ride home.
So, after spending 48 hrs awake, and not getting much sleep yesterday, I feel like crap, but it was totally worth it. Will post pics soon. |

WIKKED time!!! :eyespop:
Shoutouts to everyone I met over the course of the night, this night wouldn't have been the same without you. :) It always nice to meet Piet and Benno. :D It was nice chatting it up with you both. Piet - you threw down a wicked set!
By the end of the night, for the first time ever, it felt like my legs were going to fall off.
Big thank you to John for hooking up the list and an even bigger thank you to Mike & Jenna for giving me a lift!!! I really appreciate it! :)
Now I must recover for Decadence. See you all in a few days. ;)

hehehe, well after Piet's set we talked with them for a few minutes by the dance floor. Man those guys drink like fish! They still had a can of beer in their hands. :)
I had a great time, definetly one of my most memorable nights. I find it funny that you guys say it wasnt packed. I thought it was pretty full, but thats because Im used to the recent sparse crowds at Aria.
We decided to go to Golden Griddle for a little breakfast and while I was eating my pancakes, I bit into a match-stick sized piece of metal. I got my breakfast for free! :D
All you TOTAs are so friendly, cant wait to come back down!

It wasn't busy at all. I could see the crowd from upstairs the whole night and I've seen better nights then thhat. Of course I'm not talking about anything equivalent to Ferry Corsten. |

It wasnt rammed
but you cant say it wasnt busy. To me, a better night would have been 100 people less than were there..so I dunno what you are talking abotu. |

yah man, this is my 3rd time hitting up an event in TO, and this was by far the BEST NIGHT I HAD!!!
meeting such wonderful people from TO, at the Pub and at the event, being able to meet Rank 1, and damn, I love the laser lights they got going on at The Guv! I will have pics soon too, can not wait!
Only thing, was being a tad drunk and passing out early in the car b4 Rank 1 finished, and I swear they went on longer then 4:30...but could be wrong....hee hee, I felt like such an amateur, but had a few late nights b4 even going up to TO :P LOL
Can't wait to hit up TO again, in May for sure :D
Peace, Kimmi! |
