Hey everyone,

I am gonna be releasing my CD at the end of the month and figured this would be a great place to get some feedback on a couple of tracks. I have 2 partial samples on my homepage www.djjaspa.com and 3 full versions available at http://www.newmusiccanada.com/genre...?Band_Id=11731.

I would be very interested in what you folks have to say, please let me know what you think. You can post here or feel free to e-mail me.

Thanking you in advance.

Listening now:

Sounds pretty cool but there are some obvious production issues you definatley need to work out. I'd guess you're mixing on headphones but theres a chance that they could be cpu speakers, really ty ones because if you could listen on studio monitors, you'd see what i mean in a second. The kick honestly sounds like a closed hat on my speakers and the bass is overpowering the rest of the track because it has so much midrange, its pushing everything out to the sides in the sound image.

Cool percussion, nice ideas. Vocals need to go for sure though I think..

Sorry to sound harsh, but your mix really needs attention. Chord structures etc sound fine though.

EDIT: I listened to music for the soul.

No worries about being harsh, if I wanted to hear warm and fuzzies I'd ask my mom, hahaha. I get so focused on the production side of things that the actual mixing gets kinda lost in the process. I will pay closer attention, thanks!

I know exactly what you mean because most of my earlier mixes were the same way too. (and none of the dicks i played it for ever told me to change the way i was mixing) so i went on and kept on doing it for a long time. just want to let you know as its something that you can work on and improve alot quicker than i had the fortune to.
